wedding cakes........


Okay, so I have always found "topsy turvy" cakes to be gorgeous, in a weird way. Dr Suess type, maybe. Like the one above. However, while looking at pictures at a grand wedding, I had a brilliant idea of inspiration. Why not have one large cake which is really just a lot of petit fours, all stacked together? Well, turns out this isnt a new idea...


as you can tell by each of these. As I have also read, you can do one little cake, and have a LOT of petit fours in the back which then get passed out. I even saw some petit fours you could order online for like 1.25 each or something...
Anyway. Just the beginning of what I was thinking about. I guess I could also go the cupcake route, but that seems a little overdone right now. Although common ground cupcakes does have AMAZING gourmet cupcakes, and i think they cater for sort of cheap... Hm. Well, they have 2 dollar each ones, the "regular" ones, and you can get special ones for somewhere between 3 and 5 dollars each...
